Halloween Werewolf Face Painting Tutorial

It is day 3 of our 6 days of face painting. We are going to show you how we painted this Werewolf face. Kymberly did a great job at teaching us how to do this. All of her face painting ideas have been great so far. We hope these videos help to make it easy for you to have a cost saving Halloween for the whole family.

Check out the video on how to paint this face. It gives step by step instructions on how to paint a Werewolf face.

-----------------------------
LETS GET STARTED ON OUR STEP BY STEP BLOG INSTRUCTIONS.

We used brown, black, green and white paint.

We use acrylic paints for all of our face painting. We start out by applying a layer of brown to the whole face and neck with a sponge.
NOTE:  We used acrylic paint but I have since learned that face paint is a better choice because acrylic paint can cause serious reactions to your skin even though the bottle says it is non toxic. Here are some face painting tips to follow: http://painting.about.com/od/faceandbodypainting/a/FacePaintCindy.htm
The next step is to apply dark eye brows and shadows around his beard area. We also give him dark black eyes.

We grab a smaller brush and make lines on his forehead, down his nose and across his cheeks. Be sure to give him a black nose.

Next we give him black lips and a curled up mouth like this... We also paint green eyes on his eye lids.

While his eye lids are drying, we paint teeth on him and we also give him a few white shadows under his wrinkle lines on his face. We then give him black pupils in the center of his green eyes.

Here is a close-up of his face after it is done.

We hope you have a wonderful Halloween and best of all... HAVE FUN!!
Thanks for visiting us!!

Lets get started!!
Here is the link to the Nightmare Face video:  http://youtu.be/d8ujJc30P90
This video will help you paint this face by showing you step by step how we did it.
----------------------------------

We start out by paining a large black mouth that stretches from ear to ear like this.
The next step is to paint laugh lines on both sides of the large mouth like this.

We also give him laugh lines on his cheeks, chin, nose and forehead.

The next step is to paint white pointy teeth on the top and bottom of the wide mouth. We also gave him white shadows around his laugh lines.

Dustin gave it 2 thumbs up!! LOL

We hope this helps you create your own Halloween costume at a super low price.  We know how important it is to keep costs down when you have a large family. This is a great way to make awesome, original costumes at a large family price.

Halloween Zombie Face Paint Tutorial

Our silly family decided to paint our faces to share with you some ideas on how to paint your face for Halloween. I know that as a mom I always wanted to find inexpensive costumes for my kids and we always liked to get creative. We found it very costly to buy costumes in the stores and they weren't very original. This is an inexpensive way to make your Halloween costume original and fun for kids AND adults. hehe

You can follow this link to watch the video:  http://youtu.be/GDJ9O_N-WSg

The first day of face painting tutorials is how to paint a Zombie face.

The first step to painting this scary face is to paint the face with a white base coat like this.
The second step is to paint large green circles around his eyes and then smaller black circles over top of the green.

The next step is to paint blood under the eyes and around the mouth. Be sure to pull the brush down with the red paint so that it gives it a dripping blood effect under his eyes.

Now we paint a light coat of white over top of the red area on his mouth to indicate where you want the teeth to be. We then paint a black outline around the white area and then draw the teeth where you want them to be.

After the outlines of the teeth are made we paint a thicker coat of white on each tooth. We also give the teeth a little bit of yellow so that they look more real. You can give the teeth little bits of red to make it look like there is dried blood on the teeth.

Now we get a thicker brush and paint a black gash under his neck and we also give him black spots randomly around his face and forehead to make it look as if his flesh is falling off. We also give little tinges of white and red on the gash and around the dark spots to give it a shadow effect and to make it look like dried blood.

The last step is to paint white eyes on the eye lids to make it look extra creepy.

For more details on how to do this face you can watch the video.
